The Classic style trips are for those clients who appreciate independent travel and not travelling as part of a group, however still would like some support along the way and help with the planning process.

Often this journey has been on your “bucket list ” for years, so the preparation is all part of the fun. We have over twenty years experience arranging the different permutations available and first hand knowledge of all the destinations . Our people on the ground are truly what sets us apart when your off the train with their expertise and kindness . There is no question the Trans-Siberian is as much about where you stop as your time on board and we can make these breaks as active or sedate as you like!

Using our Classic style the same train does not remain with you all the way across, so if you are stopping at pre-arranged destinations the next train you will join will be another train entirely. The Trans-Siberian is the name of the journey not an actual train, so any permutation of the trip across Russia or down to China or the other way is “doing” the Trans-Siberian!

This is not one train ticket that allows you to hop off and on , hence the need to work out the stops along the way prior to starting.  Also your visa`s will need dates and destinations worked out in advance.

We like to think of these journeys as help where you may need it, off the train , not where you don`t on board. The dates we use have been planned in advance but certainly we can look at other versions or customise itineraries. However with many trains running alternate days and some sections only operating weekly – altering the stays in some destinations may be unworkable for timetabling reasons.
