This is the trip for those with a tight time-frame – but even so you get a rich programme with Mongolia … not only Ulaanbaatar (or it wouldn’t be the Three Capitals, of course…) but also out into the Mongolian countryside, and a chance to go horse riding with Mongolian nomads.  Plus, of course, the stunning scenery from the comfort of your train cabin!

Trip overview

DAY 01 – Arrival in Beijing

Make your own way to the hotel. Free time to explore one of the world’s fastest growing capital cities.

DAY 02 – Departing Beijing

Own transport to Beijing Central Station where you will board the Ulaanbaatar bound train.

DAY 03 – Arrival in Ulaanbaatar

Transfer to your hotel where you can freshen up before you depart on your city tour.

DAY 04 – Elstei Ger Lodge

After breakfast transfer to Elstei Ger Lodge. Throughout the day you will have the opportunity to partake in optional activities.

DAY 05 – Departing Ulaanbaatar

After breakfast return to Ulaanbaatar. Early afternoon transfer to the station where you will board the Moscow bound train.

DAY 06–08 – On board The Trans-Sib

The train will make several unscheduled stops, allowing you time to grab stocks for your larder and drinks cabinet.

DAY 09 – Arrival in Moscow

Arrival in Moscow. Your driver will meet on arrival and transfer you by private car to the hotel.

DAY 10 – Around Moscow

After breakfast one of our local experts will meet you at your hotel in the lobby for a three hour walking and familiarisation tour, to introduce the city (and its public transport system) and to get your sightseeing off to a flying start. The rest of the day's your own

DAY 11 – End of Trans-Siberian programme

Check out of your room by 12 noon today. Own transport to the airport or station on departure.
